New Orleans Botanical Garden Spring Events
New Orleans Botanical Garden is looking to acquaint regular and new visitors with these fun and informative spring events. Featuring classic staples of New Orleans culture from cafe au laits to po-boys and jazz, the events are designed to offer fun activities tailored for both children and adults.
Summer Sippin’, offered by Swirl Wines, is an innovative take on the traditional wine tasting, taking it outdoors to a relaxing and elegant Garden setting in front of the Conservatory. Visitors will enjoy this early Sunday evening activity of sipping 6 exceptional wines paired with delicious cheeses from St. James Cheese while a jazz combo provides the perfect musical backdrop. Each weekend will feature different summer sippers from France, Austria and Spain. What a great date or place to meet someone new! The Summer Sippin’ tasting is $20 (cash or local check only) and profits go to the Botanical Gardens.
Children’s Day in the Garden offers a day of fun, food, music and education in the historic Train Garden for the entire family to enjoy.
Pastries and Po-boys: Brunch in the Garden offers the classic New Orleans brunch in a new and unique setting under the oaks. Visitors can enjoy Sundays at the Garden eating and listening to music with friends, family, or blissfully alone just reading the Sunday paper surrounded by natural beauty.
